Power Plate in Healthcare and Rehabilitation

At Power Body Helsinki, a registered nurse provides a wide range of health and rehabilitation services that are not limited to musculoskeletal conditions. In addition to individually guided Power Plate training, these include wound care, Bindex® bone health assessments, general health assessments and rapid tests. Together, these services provide a holistic approach to your care.

Everyone has the right to take care of their body. Age or illness is not in itself a barrier to safe and effective training. Drawing on two decades of Power Plate experience, each programme is tailored to your current health, abilities and goals.

Individually guided vibration training is used as part of treatment and rehabilitation for back and joint conditions, including disc herniation, as well as for recovery after stroke, injury or surgery.

Overuse injuries and other rehabilitation needs can be the main focus of your training or part of a broader exercise programme. You can train at Power Body Helsinki alongside physiotherapy or continue your rehabilitation here afterwards, following the exercises and instructions provided by your physiotherapist. You will receive professional guidance on safe technique, joint-friendly movement patterns and gradual progression.

According to the Finnish Current Care Guideline on Pain, non-pharmacological treatments form the foundation of pain management and should be used whenever possible. These include physical activity, therapeutic exercise, cognitive behavioural therapy, cold and heat treatments, and TENS. Power Body Helsinki specialises in guided exercise and also provides advice on other non-pharmacological options when relevant.

Power Plate training does not replace medical assessment, physiotherapy or any other necessary treatment or rehabilitation. However, it can be used alongside them as individually tailored exercise to support muscle strength, mobility, balance and functional ability.

At Finland’s only dedicated Power Plate studio, you will be guided by Elina Salzwedel, a registered nurse and Woundexpert ICW®. The guidance is tailored to your situation, so you know what to do next.
